Technology

Custom software, built from the number you want to move.

Custom software and AI automation, the hardware it runs on, and the security around both. We start at the number you want to move, build what moves it, and you own all of it.

Pabeltec builds the technology a small or medium business runs on, and the work starts at the number that business wants to move. Three things sit under it. Custom software: web applications you own outright, automation pipelines, and AI workflow training on Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, shaped to how your team actually works, with no recurring license tax. Hardware: wired and WiFi networks, on-premise servers, firewalls and switches, CCTV and video surveillance, IP PBX telephony and access control, installed once and owned rather than rented per seat, per camera or per device. Cybersecurity: zero-trust authentication, hardened access across departments, and secure-by-default builds under SOC 2 and HIPAA frameworks, applied both to what we build and to what you already run. The same team does all three, so there is one number to call when something between them breaks, and we review the work in your own KPIs so the return is visible.

Custom software

We start where it hurts: the manual steps, the waiting, the per-seat tax. Then we build the web applications, automation pipelines and AI workflows that remove it, and you own all of it. AI-native is how we work, not a sticker: we build with agentic coding under senior review, so a first working version arrives in days and ships with tests you can run.

Should you build or buy?

Buy SaaS when an off-the-shelf tool already fits your process and the seat cost stays small. Build custom when the software has to match the exact way your business works, when per-seat fees grow faster than your headcount should, or when you want to own the data and the codebase outright. Pabeltec builds the custom side: apps and automations shaped to your workflow, with no vendor lock-in and no recurring license tax.

Custom Pabeltec Build vs Traditional SaaS

Data Ownership

Custom Pabeltec build
You own the codebase and the database outright
Traditional SaaS
Vendor holds your data; export on their terms

Recurring License Fees

Custom Pabeltec build
Build once; no per-seat fees as you scale
Traditional SaaS
Per-seat pricing that compounds with headcount

Workflow Fit

Custom Pabeltec build
Software shaped to your exact process
Traditional SaaS
Your process bent to fit the product

AI Integration

Custom Pabeltec build
Custom agentic pipelines wired into your stack
Traditional SaaS
Locked to the vendor's roadmap and add-on tiers

Vulnerability Control

Custom Pabeltec build
Zero-trust hardening you audit and govern
Traditional SaaS
Shared attack surface across every tenant

The hardware it runs on

The networks, servers, cameras and phone systems your business runs on, installed once and owned outright. The same team that builds your software installs your hardware, which means one number to call when something between the two breaks.

We install anywhere in the country. On-site work runs on a project and travel basis, quoted before anyone books a flight, so the scope is worth the trip.

What we install

Wired and WiFi networks

Structured cabling, switches and access points sized for the building you actually have, not the one on the brochure.

Servers, firewalls and switches

On-premise compute and the edge that protects it, specified and configured so your systems have somewhere of their own to run.

CCTV and video surveillance

IP cameras with storage you own. No per-camera cloud subscription that grows every time you add a door.

IP PBX telephony

A phone system that belongs to the business, with extensions, routing and voicemail configured around how your team actually answers.

Access control

Who opens which door, and a record of it. Wired into the same network and the same accountability as everything else.

Hardware installation, end to end

Specified, sourced, mounted, configured and handed over, with your own team taught to run it. Education is part of the service.

Why owning it beats renting it

The most aggressively rented things in a small business today are the phone system, the camera storage and the network gear. Each one bills per seat, per camera or per device, so the invoice grows every time the business does. Owned hardware does the opposite: it is bought once, it stays yours, and adding a door or a desk does not raise a subscription. You keep the footage, the call records and the configuration, and you can hand any of it to someone else without asking permission.

Do you travel for on-site work?

We install anywhere in the country. On-site work runs on a project and travel basis, quoted before anyone books a flight, so the scope is worth the trip. For most clients the survey happens remotely, the hardware is staged before we arrive, and the install is a scheduled visit rather than an open-ended engagement.

The security around both

Security is part of every build, not an add-on. We harden the systems we build and the ones you already run, under zero-trust, SOC 2 and HIPAA frameworks.

What the work covers

Zero-trust access

Who can reach what, verified every time: hardened authentication and least-privilege access across your tools.

Hardening what you already run

Your existing systems audited and tightened: exposed surfaces closed, patching made routine, recovery tested.

Secure-by-default builds

Everything Pabeltec ships arrives hardened: security is a property of the build, never a follow-up invoice.

Practices your team keeps

The daily habits that hold it together, taught to your own people and reviewed in plain language.

Does a small business really need this?

Small businesses are targeted precisely because attackers assume nobody is watching. You do not need an enterprise security department; you need the zero-trust basics done well: who can access what, hardened logins, patched systems, and data that is backed up and recoverable. That is the scope we build, and we teach your team to keep it running.
